Drawing from the entire book of Ephesians, we line out the armor we are given, with the teachings that Paul has given us through his letter.  It’s time to suit up for the spiritual battle that lies before us.

This week, at Lyons-Muir Church, our teaching series, Masterpiece in Progress, continues with a look at what it means to keep Christian relationships with our families and loved ones.  There is a difference between the institution of marriage and what Christ calls us to in Christian marriage. As we dive into Paul’s teaching of relationships, we must keep in mind our understanding that unity is primary in all that we do.

This week, at Lyons-Muir Church, our teaching series, Masterpiece in Progress, continues as we move into chapter 5 of the book of Ephesians.  Paul calls us to be “children of the light.” As people of faith, we must take the time to be intentional with our interactions, to live wisely, and to set our priorities on the things that have eternal value, not simply value in this world.

However, even though the physical barriers were removed, emotional barriers often remained.

This week, at Lyons-Muir Church, we end our year by reflecting on our memory of God’s work.  To move forward into the future with hope in God, we must first look back at all the ways God has been working in our lives.  Our stories matter, and it’s time we all shared our stories.
