This week, at Lyons-Muir Church, we move back to the Old Testament story of Samuel as he is sent out to anoint the new king of God’s people. But letting go of the past is exceptionally hard to do. As we explore the story of David’s anointing, we find that God not only looks at us differently than the rest of the world, but it is our character that matters most.
